About the Book

“Coming Back to My Trees / Dod ynôl at fy Nghoed is a lyrical memoir and spiritual travelogue that invites the reader to walk with the author through the sacred landscapes of Wales and the inner terrain of soul and memory. Rooted in the concept of hiraeth, a deep longing for home, the book weaves personal story with myth, place and ancestral connection.

Dedicated to those raised without a full understanding of Welsh culture or language, it is both a reclamation and a healing. From childhood in Wales through loss, identity struggles, and spiritual awakening, the journey embraces the author’s Welsh lineage and Hawaiian spiritual foundation.

Guided by Spirit of Place, it evokes mountains, lakes, legends, and the magic of the Mabinogi.

The author’s role as a Druid and celebrant is interwoven with her love for country, family and myth. From Cardigan Bay to Cardiff, from ancient forests to urban tea rooms, the journey becomes one of belonging, not just to a land, but to a soul’s calling. Ultimately, this is a story of return: to language, legacy, and self, of coming back to one’s trees.”

Gwyneth’s Tea Room and Bar will be open for refreshments.
